St. Charles Community College Regional Workforce Innovation Center

Architect: JEMA
General contractor: River City Construction
Location: Wentzville, MO

This workforce training facility houses advanced manufacturing, robotics, sustainable energy, and healthcare programs for St. Charles Community College. Classrooms and shared spaces are wrapped around the manufacturing and trades shops at the core. Wiring, piping, and mechanical systems are left exposed and labeled throughout, so the structure itself acts as a teaching tool. The same idea governs the plan: corridors and the terrazzo-floored lobby open straight onto the high-bay shops, so theory and practice stay in sight of one another.
